Transitional Period of Time

This is a very experimental clip, at least for my style anyway. I realised that I wanted a transtional clip that I can put into my final video to make it flow a little better. If this works correctly for you viewers, you should also hear a very cool audio track. ijust like the idea of having a quick one second clip to out in between clips to not only add to the style but to just smooth out the moving from clip to clip.

Disco Ducks

While I was taking video and sounds recordings, I noticed that there were alot of ducks near the shore line of Atwater Park. I became infatuated with them. They were just minding theiur own duckly bussiness but the sounds that they were making and the way they were moving around in the water, was very cool to me. I really have no ideas why I was so taken with these ducks, just watch and maybe you can tell me.

Wait Where Am I?

Lost in the mist of time. Wondering aimlessly and not to sure where I am. Seeing the reflection of the sun on the water and getting lost in the beauty of that scene. But I Am still not sure where I am. Thats what this is about. Random ideas, sounds and images all rolled into one to entrance you, the viewer.

Rising Rocks

Atwater Park on Lake Drive here in Milwaukee, has something that is unique. Instead of having ordinary wooden docks that extent out into the water, there are these large stone platforms. These platforms are stacked up on eachother in many different ways. Because they are stacked so differently, you can see the shore and the water under you. I love just sitting on them and looking off into the distance. The view is beautiful. I wanted to convey the feeling of awe in this clip with the slow rising of the carmera off of the rocks and looking off and looking at the water. The sounds of waves crashing to into the shore and birds chripping in the background really gives it that authentic feel. But thats just me, You are feel to take whatever you can away from this.

The Beginning

This is what I am considering for my sort of introduction to the area that I am cover in this final film that I am working towards. I wanted this to be mostly arial shots and establishing the beach. I am trying to keep these clips consistant with my style of experienting with clips and having them be very quick cuts and interesting to the eye. These clips have now been accompanied with sounds. The sounds somtimes are relavant to what is going on in the clip and matching the video but I enjoy having werid random sounds that don't match as well.

Final Ideas and Location Study

The location I have chosen to perform some final Ideas is Atwater Park here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I have provided a map for all of you who may be unfamiliar with the Milwaukee Area. I have chosen this place because it is a place that I go to when i need to be away from everything and just get some peace and quiet and enjoy the surroundings of a very beautiful, outside setting. Now in saying that there is peace and quiet, i mean that there are a vast amount of just fantastic sounds. Sounds of the lake, the birds, the sand, everything there is just great. The imagary there also is just execllent. The sighht of the vast water, seagulls, the docks they have, the sand is just so amazing to me. It just represents very thing that is peaceful to me. I beleive that I have come up with some excellenet ideas on just how I am going to acture all these different element to evenetually make a short 2 mintues film represent this place. I want to go to the oark in the afternoon so I can have is be just a bright and beautiful as possible to due the light of the sun. The look of the water and the shoreline really looks cool when the sun is beating down on it. I want to have all my images look as real as possible, I want to keep as much of the authentisty as possible and I beleive that if i use the sunlight to my advantage, I will be able to accomplish this. I will have to be at this park a long time to make sure that the light is just right and making sure that all the images are to my liking. Now for sounds, I plan to just record what I can. I want to represent the atmosphere of the park as well as I can. When people hear this, I want them to be able to close their eyes and just imagine and feel like they are there. I also will have some recordings with my microphones very close to what I am recording to get some very different sounds and possibly something that has never been heard quite that way before. I beleive I follow all of these different ideas and guidelines that I have just laid out, i will be able to make an outstanding video.

My Personal Question #3

Why do people always want to suffer and do what ever they can so their art is great?

-If you make something cool, people will like it and it will be remeber at something that was worked for and sought after
-Aritist are strange people indeed

My Personal Question #2

Why am I so attracted by weird, abstract images and objects?

-Just the idea of being weird and different is very appealing to me. That Idea alone is just great in my opinion.
-The look of weird objects is always more attractive and attention grabbing
